Copper-Nickel
Copper-nickel alloys are widely recognized in naval and marine engineering for corrosion resistance and biofouling resistance in seawater service — the reason this alloy family anchors our materials focus. Material solutions may include the following grades, subject to confirmed availability.
| UNS | Designation | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| C70600 | 90/10 Copper-Nickel | A widely used copper-nickel alloy in marine piping and seawater systems. |
| C71500 | 70/30 Copper-Nickel | Higher nickel content, used where increased strength and corrosion resistance are required. |
| C71640 | Cu-Ni, Fe & Mn modified | Controlled iron and manganese additions for high-velocity seawater service. |

Brass
Brass alloys are used across naval heat-exchanger, marine hardware and general industrial applications where corrosion resistance, formability and machinability are required.
| UNS | Designation | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| C23000 | Red Brass (85/15) | Pipe, tube and fittings. |
| C26000 | Cartridge Brass (70/30) | Cold-workable general-purpose brass for tube and formed parts. |
| C36000 | Free-Cutting Brass | Rod and bar for machined components and fittings. |
| C46400 | Naval Brass | Plate, rod and bar for marine hardware and fittings. |
| C44300 | Admiralty Brass (arsenical) | Condenser and heat-exchanger tube. |
| C68700 | Aluminum Brass (arsenical) | Condenser and heat-exchanger tube for seawater service. |

Bronze
Bronze alloys — tin bronzes, aluminum bronzes and nickel-aluminum bronzes — are widely used for valves, pumps, bearings and propulsion-related marine hardware, where strength, wear and seawater corrosion resistance are required.
| UNS | Designation | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| C83600 | Leaded Red Brass (85-5-5-5) | Cast valve bodies, fittings and flanges. |
| C90300 | Tin Bronze (88-8-4) | Cast fluid-handling and general marine parts. |
| C93200 | Bearing Bronze (83-7-7-3) | Bearings and bushings. |
| C95400 | Aluminum Bronze | Cast parts requiring strength and corrosion resistance. |
| C95800 | Nickel-Aluminum Bronze | Widely used in marine pumps, valves and propulsion hardware. |
| C63000 | Nickel-Aluminum Bronze (wrought) | Rod, bar and forged marine components. |

Stainless Steel
Stainless steel product forms sourced against applicable grade, dimensional and testing requirements for naval, industrial and defense-related applications.
| UNS | Grade | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| S30400 / S30403 | 304 / 304L | General-purpose austenitic stainless steel. |
| S31600 / S31603 | 316 / 316L | Molybdenum-bearing grade with improved chloride resistance. |
| S32100 | 321 | Titanium-stabilized, for elevated-temperature service. |
| S34700 | 347 | Niobium-stabilized, for elevated-temperature service. |
| S32205 | 2205 Duplex | Higher strength and chloride stress-corrosion resistance. |
| S31254 | 6Mo Super-Austenitic | Severe chloride and pitting environments. |

Carbon Steel
Carbon steel supports general-service, high-pressure and structural applications where seawater corrosion resistance is not the governing requirement. Grades are sourced to the applicable ASTM specification.
| Specification | Grade | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| ASTM A106 | Gr. B | Seamless pipe for high-temperature service. |
| ASTM A53 | Gr. B | Seamless and welded pipe. |
| ASTM A333 | Gr. 6 | Pipe for low-temperature service. |
| ASTM A105 | Carbon steel forgings | Flanges and forged fittings. |
| ASTM A234 | WPB | Wrought carbon steel fittings. |
| ASTM A516 / A36 | Gr. 70 / structural | Plate for pressure and structural use. |

Copper
Commercially pure copper products used across naval, industrial and defense-adjacent applications requiring electrical and thermal conductivity together with corrosion resistance.
| UNS | Designation | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| C11000 | Electrolytic Tough Pitch Copper | Conductivity applications; plate, rod and bar. |
| C10200 | Oxygen-Free Copper | High-conductivity and brazing applications. |
| C12200 | Phosphorus Deoxidized Copper | Tube and pipe for heat exchange and fluid systems. |

Nickel Alloys
Nickel and nickel-based alloys support applications with demanding corrosion, thermal or mechanical requirements. Grades are sourced to the applicable ASTM specification and confirmed against your requirement.
